I was rummaging through my stash and came across a lovely assortment of unidentified yarn which I thought would make a terrific beanie....hence the name "Mystery Beanie" :)
To make this beanie you will need at least 4 colors of worsted weight yarn:
50 grams of main color (MC) and small amounts of 3 contrasting colors (CC1, CC2 and CC3)
I used a 4.5 mm hook.
Each round is worked in same direction, do not turn unless otherwise indicated.
To begin, chain 6 stitches and join with slip stitch to form circle.
Chain 2 (counts as 1 DC) Make 11 DC and join with slip stitch in top of first chain 2 stitch. (12 DC)
Do not cut MC yarn. Change to CC1 and make 2 SC in each stitch around. (24 SC)
Pick up MC and chain 2 (counts as 1 DC), make 2 DC in next stitch. Then **1 DC in next stitch and 2 DC in following stitch** repeat pattern between ** ** around and join with slip stitch in top of first chain 2 stitch. (36 DC)
Do not cut MC yarn. Change to CC2 and make 1 SC in each stitch around. (36 SC)
Pick up MC and chain 2 (counts as 1 DC), Make 1 DC in next stitch, make 2 DC in next stitch. Then **1 DC in each of next 2 stitches and 2 DC in following stitch** repeat pattern between ** ** around and join with slip stitch in top of first chain 2 stitch. (48 DC)
Do not cut MC yarn. Change to CC3 and make 1 SC in each stitch around. (48 SC)
Pick up MC and chain 2 (counts as 1 DC), Make 1 DC in each of next 2 stitches, make 2 DC in next stitch. Then **1 DC in each of next 3 stitches and 2 DC in following stitch** repeat pattern between ** ** around and join with slip stitch in top of first chain 2 stitch. (60 DC)
Do not cut MC yarn. Change to CC1 again and make 1 SC in each stitch around. (60 SC)
Pick up MC and chain 2 (counts as 1 DC), Make 1 DC in each of next 3 stitches, make 2 DC in next stitch. Then **1 DC in each of next 4 stitches and 2 DC in following stitch** repeat pattern between ** ** around and join with slip stitch in top of first chain 2 stitch. (72 DC)
Do not cut MC yarn. Change to CC2 again and make 1 SC in each stitch around. (72 SC)
Work even from this point on:
Next round is 1 DC in each stitch using MC.
Followed by 1 round of 1 SC in each stitch using CC3.
Next round is 1 DC in each stitch using MC.
Followed by 1 round of 1 SC in each stitch using CC1.
Next round is 1 DC in each stitch using MC.
Followed by 1 round of 1 SC in each stitch using CC2.
Next round is 1 DC in each stitch using MC.
Followed by 1 round of 1 SC in each stitch using CC3.
Break yarn and weave in loose ends.

Pour faire ce chapeau, vous aurez besoin d’au moins 4 couleurs de fil moyen (worsted weight yarn; de 90 à 105 m pour 50gr).
¨ 50 grammes de la couleur principale (CP)
¨ petites quantites de 3 couleurs contrastantes (CC1, CC2, CC3).
¨ Un crochet 4,5 mm
Chaque cercle est travaille dans la meme direction en joignant a l’aide d’une maille coulee. Ne tournez pas l’ouvrage a moins d’indication contraire.
Pour commencer, faire une chainette de 6 mailles et joindre avec une maille coulee pour former un cercle.
Chainer 2 mailles qui compteront pour une bride. Crocheter 11 brides et joignez avec une maille coulee sur la deuxieme maille de la premiere bride. (12 brides).
Ne coupez pas le fil de la Couleur Principale (CP).
Changez de fil pour la Couleur Contrastante 1 (CC1) et crochetez deux brides dans chaque bride du cercle precedent. (24 brides).
Prendre la CP et chaîner 2 mailles (comptent pour une bride), et faire deux brides dans la maille suivante. Ensuite ** une bride dans la maille suivante et deux brides dans celle d’apres. ** Repeter les indications entre ** ** tout le tour et joindre avec une maille coulee dans le dessus de la premiere bride (36 brides).
Ne pas couper le fil de CP. Changer pour la CC2 et faire une maille serree dans chaque bride du rang precedent (36 mailles serrees).
Reprendre la CP et chaîner 2 mailles (comptent pour une bride). Faire une bride dans la maille suivante et deux brides dans celle d’apres. Ensuite ** 1 bride dans chacune des deux mailles suivantes et 2 brides dans celle d’apres ** Repeter les indications entre ** ** tout le tour et joindre avec une maille coulee sur le dessus de la premiere bride. (48 brides)
Ne pas couper le fil de CP. Changer pour la CC3 et faire une maille serree dans chaque bride du rang precedent (48 mailles serrees).
Reprendre la CP et chaîner 2 mailles (comptent pour une bride). Faire une bride dans chacune des deux mailles suivantes et 2 brides dans la troisieme. Ensuite ** 1 bride dans chacune des trois mailles suivantes et 2 brides dans celle d’apres ** Repeter les indications entre ** ** tout le tour et joindre avec une maille coulee sur le dessus de la premiere bride. (60 brides)
Ne pas couper le fil de CP. Changer pour la CC1 et faire une maille serree dans chaque bride du rang precedent (60 mailles serrees).
Reprendre la CP et chaîner 2 mailles (comptent pour une bride). Faire une bride dans chacune des trois mailles suivantes et 2 brides dans la quatrieme. Ensuite ** 1 bride dans chacune des quatre mailles suivantes et 2 brides dans celle d’apres ** Repeter les indications entre ** ** tout le tour et joindre avec une maille coulee sur le dessus de la premiere bride. (72 brides)
Ne pas couper le fil de CP. Changer pour la CC2 et faire une maille serree dans chaque bride du rang precedent (72 mailles serrees).
